Redevelopment in multi-tenant structure,
Frankfurt
The seven-storey office and commercial building near the "Alte Oper" dates from 1890, was built as the Fürstenhof hotel and also operated as a hotel until its partial destruction in 1944. In the course of numerous reconstruction measures and the addition of two storeys, parts of the building were partially replaced. MOW is subjecting the building to a holistic refurbishment. The historic sandstone façade is being upgraded and fitted with marquise blinds. The modernisation of selected retail and restaurant spaces on the ground floor will create high-quality, light-flooded rental spaces. The central foyer with vestibule and staircase will be significantly redesigned, with historic elements such as the main staircase, banisters and floor coverings harmonising with the modern finish. The energetic refurbishment with a central reversible air-source heat pump for heating and cooling creates a future-oriented building that is almost CO2-neutral in maintenance.
