At the entrance to the Ökosiedlung Friedrichsdorf, a public square has been created as an attractive venue for the new neighbourhood. Small commercial units, a neighbourhood meeting place, flats for senior citizens and a day-care centre enable young and old to get together in a lively atmosphere.
The two interconnected building blocks house 54 flats for senior citizens, of which are 25 publicly subsidised and 29 privately financed. A a day-care centre for children with a large outdoor area is located on the ground floor.
