Feasibility study, competition and accompaniment of the so called B-Planning-Procedure,

Frankfurt am Main

As part of a feasibility study, usage scenarios for the 16,000 m² site in Frankfurt's city center were sounded out and backed up by urban planning concepts. On the basis of the concepts, the use and exploitation as well as topics of preservation orders, traffic development, shading and neighbourly interests could be coordinated with the competent authorities in an iterative coordination process. After successful approval with construction supervision, urban planning, monument protection and politics, the results formed the basis for the urban planning competition. This in turn was the basis for the B-plan amendment draft. Parallel to the accompaniment of the B-planning-Procedure, the architectural competition was prepared, awarded and carried out.
