Altonaer Höfe

A mixed-use quarter is planned on the approximately 11,600 square meter area on Altonaer Strasse, at the corner of Schlachthofstrasse, on a previous commercial site in Erfurt's Johannesvorstadt district. Around 100 residential units will be made available here in the future, around 20 percent of which will be social housing, as well as around 10,000 square meters of gross floor space for offices and non-disruptive businesses. The open space design is based on the planning goals of the city of Erfurt: the areas between the buildings will be largely unsealed and generously planted, and the roof areas of the new buildings will be extensively greened. In the future, stationary traffic will take place almost exclusively underground, which offers the opportunity to create a quiet neighborhood with a high quality of stay for the residents.
